| A seminar was held on ‘US Politics and Obama Administration’ at the AIUB Auditorium on August 12, 2009. Professor Burdett Loomis from University of Kansas conducted the seminar for AIUB Students and Faculty Members. Professor Loomis is a Professor of Political Science. He held numerous professional and administrative positions including Member, Public Employee Review Board, State of Kansas, USA; Director of Administrative Communication, Office of Kansas Governor; Interim Director, Robert J Dole Institute for Public Service and Public Policy; Chair, Department of Political Science, University of Kansas, etc.
The informative seminar ended with a very interactive questions and answer session.
The seminar was organized by the American Center. Ms. Catherine Hallock, Cultural Affairs Officer was also present during the Seminar.
Professor Dr. Tafazzal Hosssain, Vice President for Academics, AIUB handed over AIUB souvenirs to Professor Loomis and Ms. Catherine Hallock at the end of the seminar. Among others, Prof. Dr. Charles C Villanueva, Dean, Faculty of Arts and Social Science and Faculty of Business Administration, Prof. Dr. Siddique Hossain, Dean, Faculty of Science, Prof. M. A. Quiayum, Registrar, Associate Dean, Head of the Departments were also present in the seminar. |
