On April 06, 2016, a seminar titled “Understanding the CFA Program: Exploring Opportunities in Finance Industry” was organized by the Department of Accounting to give students an overview of the CFA program. The seminar was arranged by Mr. Niaz Mohammad, Assistant Professor, Department of Accounting, Faculty of Business Administration. The main objective of this seminar was to introduce the students to this global professional degree. The resource speaker was Md. Nafeez Al Tarik CFA, FRM, Chief Investment Officer, Asain Tiger Capital Partners, Asset Management. The seminar provided the overall ideas regarding CFA degree, Syllabus, Admission and Exam procedures. Mr. Nafeez also shared practical experience towards the students about the tactics of CFA examination.  Prior to joining Asian Tigers Capital, Mr. Nafeez worked as the “Chief Investment Officer” at Alliance Capital Asset Management Limited (an asset management company), as "Manager-ALM & FTP" in Treasury Department of Eastern Bank Limited and as an "Assistant Vice President" in Royal Bengal Investment Management Company Limited.  Participation of students from different core and major courses made the seminar more informative.

The seminar was coordinated by Mr. Faridul Alam, Assistant Professor, Department of Accounting with the presence of Mr. Rashedul Hasan, Assistant Professor, Department of Accounting, Mr Joynal Abedin, Assistant Professor, Department of Finance and Mr. Omar Khaled Mohammad Rizwanul Bashar, Department of Accounting.
