On August 7, 2023, the Department of Operations & Supply Chain Management (OSCM), AIUB organized a seminar titled "Supply Chain Management: future and career prospects". The program started at 4:00 PM with large participation of students along with the faculty members of FBA at Annex 2 (Media Studio), AIUB. The purpose of the seminar was to provide an overview of the scope of career potential in the field of operations and supply chain management in Bangladesh and outside Bangladesh while also aligning with the Sustainable Development Goals of ensuring quality education (SDG 4) and responsible consumption and production (SDG 12).

The event was inaugurated by Dr. Md. Tamzidul Islam (Head, Department of OSCM, AIUB). The chief guest of the seminar was Mohammad Mohasin Sarder (Head of Supply Chain, Walton) provided a brief presentation where he discussed the nuts and bolts of supply chain practices in Bangladesh. Three AIUB OSCM alumni were invited as special guests, namely Mr. Ratul Das (Asst. Manager, Marico), Mr. Mehedi Hassan (Sr. Executive, Epillyon Group) and Mr. Sanjib Bose (Sr. Manager, National Polymer). After the speech of chief guest, special guests shared their knowledge and experiences where they discussed how the OSCM program has helped them to land in good positions in industry and grow higher in ranks. A Q&A session was held after the speeches where students were encouraged to ask the questions to the guests. The program was hosted by Ms. Shahnaz Zarin (Assistant Professor, OSCM). The seminar was concluded by handing over the guests with crests & gift packs. FBA humbly appreciates the openhanded support extended by the AIUB management.
