Seminar on ‘Supply Chain and Logistics Operations of A Logistics Company – An Entrepreneur’s View”

On April 9, 2014 a seminar titled ‘Supply Chain and Logistics Operations of A Logistics Company – An Entrepreneur’s View’ was organized by the Department of Accounting to give the overview of a logistics company to the business students. The seminar was arranged by Mr. Khondoker Ziaur Rahman, faculty, Department of Accounting, Faculty of Business Administration. The resource speaker was Mr. Md. Alauddin Al Azad, Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Daimon Logistics BD Ltd. The seminar covered different aspects of supply chain and logistics operations. Mr. Azad has shared his practical experiences to the students as he got a 15 years of working experience with DAMCO Bangladesh which is a sister concern of AP Moller Maersk Group. Mr. Azad’s lively, enthusiast, inspiring and interactive presentation made the session a very productive one. The seminar was very informative and helpful for the students to understand overall process of supply chain and logistics operations. The seminar ended with a thanks note by Mr. Md. Zakaria Masud, Head, Department of Accounting. Mr. Masud has also handed over a certificate of appreciation and a token gift to the resource speaker on behalf of AIUB management.
