On December 8, 2016, a seminar titled “Software Quality Assurance” was held at the AIUB Auditorium. The seminar was moderated by S.M. Abdur Rouf Bhuiyan, Faculty, Department of Computer Science, FSIT, AIUB. The main objective of this seminar was to introduce the students with the importance of software quality assurance in software development, recent trend and practices of software quality assurance in IT firms and well-established and well-respected career perspective as a software quality assurance engineer.

The discussion was enlightened by the presence of Prof. Dr. Tafazzal Hossain, Dean, FSIT.  Mr. S.M. Abdur Rouf Bhuiyan started the seminar with his talk on Software Quality Assurance, followed Mr. Johny, Sr. Software Quality Assurance Engineer, Enosis Solutions, who talked on test automation and its major benefits in IT firms. The seminar was followed by a Workshop titled “Test Automation using Selenium” where the functional testing tool Selenium was introduced and demonstrated. Some of the esteemed faculty members of Computer Science Department were also present in the seminar to motivate the students. The seminar also included an interactive question-answer session participated by the students and the speakers. It is believed that the students got valuable insights from this seminar and workshop and will be able to build bright career as software quality assurance engineers.
