On Monday, June 15, 2026, IEOM AIUB Student Chapter successfully organized a seminar titled "Simulation and Its Applications in Production Processes", which brought together students, faculty members, and industry enthusiasts to explore the growing significance of simulation technologies in modern production and manufacturing environments. The program was formally inaugurated by Professor Dr. Mohammad Abdul Mannan, Associate Dean, Faculty of Engineering, AIUB. In his opening remarks, he underscored the importance of industry-relevant knowledge and encouraged students to engage actively in learning opportunities that bridge the gap between academic theory and industrial practice.

The keynote session was conducted by Professor Dr. Md. Alamgir Hossain, Pro Vice-Chancellor (Acting), BGMEA University of Fashion & Technology (BUFT). Drawing upon his extensive academic and research experience, he delivered an insightful presentation on the applications of simulation in production processes. The session covered the role of simulation in analyzing complex manufacturing systems, improving operational performance, supporting strategic decision-making, and addressing real-world industrial challenges. His discussion provided participants with valuable perspectives on how simulation tools contribute to enhanced productivity, quality improvement, and process optimization in modern industries.

Following the keynote presentation, Professor Dr. ABM Siddique Hossain, Dean, Faculty of Engineering, AIUB, delivered the closing remarks. He emphasized the importance of innovation, research, and industry-academia collaboration in preparing future engineers and encouraged students to continue exploring emerging technologies that are transforming industrial operations.

After the engaging discussions, a token of appreciation was presented to the keynote speaker by Professor Dr. ABM Siddique Hossain, Dr. Md. Ehasanul Haque, Associate Professor and Head of the Department of IPE, and Mr. Mahamudul Hassan, Assistant Professor, Department if IPE, AIUB.
