On Sunday, April 12, 2026, AIUB Community of Engineering Students (ACES) organized a seminar session at the Annex 3 of American International University-Bangladesh (AIUB). The session was held from 3:00 PM to 4:30 PM and focused on providing a comprehensive understanding of signal processing and its relevance in modern technological applications, including communication systems, Artificial Intelligence (AI), and data-driven engineering solutions.
The event commenced with a formal inauguration by Prof. Dr. ABM Siddique Hossain (Professor and Dean, Faculty of Engineering, AIUB), who outlined the essential skills for proficiency in signal processing, including mathematical proficiency, system-level thinking, and experimental insight. The session was conducted by Mr. Joheb Muhammad Tanzeer Sayeed (Lecturer, Faculty of Engineering, AIUB), where key concepts related to fundamental and advanced concepts of signal processing, highlighting essential tools such as MATLAB and the Python ecosystem, which are widely used for analysis, simulation, and real-world applications. The session further emphasized the importance of developing a strong theoretical foundation including mathematical depth, system thinking, and experimental approaches, to become proficient in the field.
An interactive Q&A session was held afterward, allowing participants to engage directly with the speaker, clarify their queries, and gain a deeper understanding of signal processing in the modern world. Toward the end of the session, a token of appreciation was presented by Dr. Mohammad Abdul Mannan (Professor and Associate Dean, Faculty of Engineering, AIUB) as a gesture of gratitude for the speaker’s valuable contribution. He concluded with brief closing remarks, expressing appreciation for the session and encouraging students to explore emerging technologies in the field.
