A seminar titled “SatCom: Evolution and State of the Art” was held on Thursday, 6th November 2025 at the Auditorium of American International University-Bangladesh (AIUB). The event was organized by the Faculty of Science and Technology (FST) and brought together faculty members, researchers, and more than 300 enthusiastic students eager to explore advancements in satellite communication technologies.

The keynote speaker, Dr. Chowdhury Rajeeb Shahriar, Senior Principal Engineer at Raytheon, USA, delivered an engaging and insightful presentation on the latest innovations and global trends in satellite communication systems. Dr. Shahriar highlighted the evolution of SatCom from traditional analog systems to cutting-edge digital and software-defined architectures, emphasizing its growing role in communication, defense, and space technology.

The seminar was inaugurated by Prof. Dr. A. B. M. Siddique Hossain, Dean, Faculty of Engineering, who shared inspiring remarks on the importance of exposing students to frontier technologies and research areas that shape the modern communication landscape.

A vote of thanks was delivered by Mr. Mashiour Rahman, Senior Associate Professor and Dean (In-Charge), Faculty of Science and Technology, expressing appreciation to the speaker and attendees for making the seminar a success.

The program was anchored by Dr. Fatema Tuz Zohra, Associate Professor, Department of Mathematics, whose smooth coordination ensured the event’s engaging flow.

The seminar concluded with an interactive Q&A session where students actively participated, reflecting AIUB’s continuous commitment to fostering academic excellence, research collaboration, and industry engagement.
