Seminar on Research writing in Latex, IPv6 and Matlab
The Department of Computer Science, Faculty of Science and Information Technology, American International University-Bangladesh organized a seminar entitled “Research writing in Latex, IPv6 and Matlab” on 15nd March 2012. The target audience was undergraduate students of the courses of Computer Science, Electronics and Electrical Engineering, Business Administration, and research methodology. The main purpose of the seminar was to discuss with students about the research writing in Latex , large scale network design with IPv6 and large scale data analysis strategies in MatLab. The seminar took place in the AIUB Auditorium from 1.00 p.m. to 5:00 pm.
The honorable Dean Prof. Dr. Tafazzal Hossain was present at the Seminar. The welcome address was performed by Mashiour Rahman, Head, BSc Program, Department of Computer Science. The resource persons of the seminar were Khan Md. Al-Farabi, Nasrin Sultana and Farhana Ferdousi Liza. All of them are faculty of Computer Science at AIUB.
Mr. Khan Md. Al-Farabi has delivered a presentation on “Research Paper Writing in LATEX” in this seminar. In his presentation he has discussed about the basic LATEX commands and its applications. He has also discussed about the process of writing IEEE paper in LATEX. He presented the MIkTEX software and the implementation of IEEE paper template.
Nasrin sultana gave presentation on IPv6 current state of technology, she also shown IPv6 routing LAB and transition from ipv4 to ipv6.
Farhana Ferdousi Liza has discussed about large scale data analysis in Matlab which can be applied in data mining, financial analysis and machine learning areas.
