Seminar on “Prospects of Entrepreneurs in Bangladesh”

The Management Department of American International University-Bangladesh organized a seminar on “Prospects of Entrepreneurs in Bangladesh” on 1st December 2015. The target audience was the students of the course entrepreneurship development. The main purpose of the seminar was to promote entrepreneurship in Bangladesh. The seminar took place in the Auditorium from 12:30 p.m. for one hour. The program started with the welcome address of the honorable Pro Vice Chancellor & Dean of Faculty of Business Administration Dr. Charles C. Villanueva. In his welcome message, Dr. Villanueva  mentioned that in the event that graduate are not able to find a job, entrepreneurship is one of the best alternatives to make the graduates productive and successful. The resource person of the seminar was Selima Ahmed, President, Bangladesh Women Chamber of Commerce and Industry (BWCCI). The course teachers of the management department and many other faculty members were also present at the seminar.

The topic was very interesting and resourceful covering the individual experience of the successful entrepreneur in Bangladesh. The resource person has shared her experienced and motivated the students to become an entrepreneur. She also discussed about how she initiated the business and how the entrepreneurs works for the development of the country. The students were very happy to join the seminar and the resource person expressed her sincere thanks and gratitude to the Department of Management for the invitation and hospitality.

At the end of the fruitful seminar, Mr. A.K Nazmul, Director, BBA Program, delivered the vote of thanks and the resource speaker was presented a certificate of appreciation and souvenirs form the university. The event was coordinated by Hafsa Maryam, Assistant Professor, Samia Shabnaz, Assistant Professor, of Management Department.
