The Department of Operations Management organized a seminar on “Project Management concept in successful implementation of International Gateway” in the AIUB auditorium on December 09, 2010. The guest speaker in the seminar was Mr. Tawfiq Hassan, Project Manager of Tusuka Technotrade Limited (TTL). He was accompanied by Mr. Sayeef Rahman, Business Development Manager of TTL. Dr. AKM Matiur Rahman, Associate Dean of the Faculty of Business Administration and the chief guest of the seminar, delivered the welcome speech with his inspiring and motivational words. Mr. Tawfiq Hassan highlighted the knowledge areas of project management and their necessity in successful completion of a project. He has presented the real life utilization of Gantt chart, Work Breakdown Structure, Responsibility Matrix and other functional project management tools. Mr. Hassan shared his valuable experience as a project manager in establishing one of the largest International Gateway (IGW) in Bangladesh. Mr. Zobair Shibli, Head, Department of Operations Management and many other honorable faculty members also attended the seminar. At the end of the seminar, the resource speaker was given a certificate of appreciation and some souvenirs by Dr. Md. Mamun Habib. The event was coordinated and hosted by Mr. Sultanul Nahian Hasnat, lecturer, Department of Operations Management.
