| The Department of Operations Management organized a seminar on “Proactive Materials Degradation Management of Nuclear Power Plants - Tohoku Approach” in the AIUB auditorium on April 06, 2011. The guest speaker in the seminar was Dr. Nishith Kumar Das, Postdoctoral Fellow, Fracture and Reliability Research Institute, Tohoku University, Japan.
Prof. Dr. Charles C. Villanueva, Dean of the Faculty of Business Administration and the chief guest of the seminar, delivered the welcome speech with his inspiring and motivational words. Mr. Nishith Kumar Das highlighted the area of management in degrading the materials in a nuclear power plant. Prof. Dr. AKM Matiur Rahman, Associate Dean of the Faculty of Business Administration, Asst. Prof. Mr. Zobair Shibli, Head, Department of Operations Management and many other honorable faculty members also attended the seminar. At the end of the seminar, the resource speaker was given some souvenirs by Prof. Dr. AKM Matiur Rahman.
