The Department of Marketing, AIUB, organized a seminar on “Marketing for 21^st Century: Win the Markets with Creative Thinking" on 17^th October 2018 in Annex 2 of Permanent Campus from 3:30 pm to 5:00 pm. The target audience of the seminar was students of Marketing Core & Major Courses. The key note speaker of the seminar was Mr. J M Taslim Kabir, Head of Marketing, FDL-Samsung, FairGroup. To enhance the students’ academic learning and make them capable of coping up with the dynamic marketing opportunities, the speaker gave an informative speech and shared his valuable expertise on the subject matter of the seminar. Mr. Taslim Kabir has a rich corporate expertise in terms of working in the prominent FMCG and Consumer Electronics Industry in Bangladesh. He also served in Bangladesh Civil Service as a BCS Education Cadre and worked with European Union on bilateral issues.

During the seminar, Mr. Taslim Kabir highlighted the strategic factors contributing to the remarkable growth of FMCG and electronics industry of Bangladesh. He provided an informative speech on the development of FairGroup from an entrepreneurial initiative towards a successful business conglomerate in Bangladesh to achieve the strategic business association with leading global Brand Samsung. In addition to this, he shared some insights on the future business initiatives of Samsung in Bangladesh Electronics Industry. The seminar included an effective discussion on the necessity of corporate grooming for enhancing undergraduate students career development potential. The seminar was indeed an interactive knowledge sharing forum that was followed by a question-answer session from the participating students. The seminar was also graced by Dr. Khondaker Sazzadul Karim, Head & Associate Professor, Dept. of Marketing, Dr. Khaled Amin, Assistant Professor, Dept. of Marketing, Mr. Shafkat Reza Chowdhury, Sr. Lecturer, Dept. of Marketing & Mr. Adnan Hossain, Assistant Professor, Dept. of Management. The seminar concluded with a vote of thanks and presenting a Certificate of Appreciation to the key note speaker by Dr. Nisar Ahmed, Professor  & Director, MBA Program AIUB. This event was organized by Ms. Tahsina Khan, Sr. Assistant Professor, along with the cooperation from Ms. Farheen Hassan, Director, BBA program and Mr. Rasidul Islam Pallob, Assistant Director, Admin, AIUB.
