Seminar on “Market Positioning Strategy of a Global Express Company”

Department of Marketing, Faculty of Business Administration of American International University-Bangladesh, organized a seminar entitled “Market Positioning of a Global Express Company from the Perspective of DHL Worldwide Express (BD) Pvt. Ltd.”, on June 12, 2012, at the AIUB Auditorium. The guest speaker of this seminar was Mr. Hasan Munakib Choudhury, Communications Specialist – Marketing, DHL Worldwide Express (BD) Pvt. Ltd. The seminar commenced with an inspiring speech from the Prof. Dr. Charles C. Villanueva, Dean, Faculty of Business Administration, addressing the students. Mr. Choudhury had shown an effective presentation covering areas on how a Global Express Company (Logistics) carries its business activities to become one of the leading companies in this particular sector. DHL Worldwide Express is operating in almost 220 countries and territories around the globe; carries its business functions in the most advanced and synchronized approach. DHL also offers unparalleled expertise in express, air and ocean freight, overland transport, contract logistics solutions as well as international mail services. Mr. Choudhury highlighted several aspects of Service Marketing and being a renowned international Brand, how they operate and conduct their business activities worldwide.
He addressed several pointers for the Marketing Major Students and how they can enrich their thinking process when they apply in different companies for pursuing their career. He also answered several questions asked by the students. Students from courses of Service Marketing, Global Marketing, Tourism and Hospitality Marketing, Global Trade and other students attended the interactive seminar.  He gave an important and valuable advice to students to add value to their CVs by including exceptional skills both in software and social networking. The seminar was organized and coordinated by Mr. Stanley Rodrick and Mr. Mahmud Habib Zaman, Faculties of the Marketing Department, in co-ordination with Mr. Zobair Shibli, Head, Department of Marketing.  Mr. Hamidul Islam, Ms. Tahsina Khan, Mr. Md. Golam Mostofa, & Mr. Redwan Salam, Faculty members from the Department of Marketing were also present during the seminar. At the end of the seminar, Dr. Ehsanul Huda Chowdhury, Director, BBA Program expressed his Vote of Thanks to the Guest Speaker, the Faculties and students for their presence in the seminar and then Prof. Dr. Charles C. Villanueva, Dean, Faculty of Business Administration presented a Certificate of Appreciation and a gift pack as a token of gratitude to Mr. Hasan Munakib Choudhury.
