SEMINAR ON “MANAGING SALES OF SERVICES”

The Department of Marketing, Faculty of Business Administration of American International University-Bangladesh, organized a seminar entitled “Managing Sales of Services”, on April 2, 2012 at the AIUB Auditorium. The Guest Speaker of the seminar was Mr. Md. Rejaul Hossain Khan, Ex-Assistant Vice President – Agency (Middle East, Africa & South East Asia of MetLife Alico). Mr. Khan had served the Service Sector, with a corporate experience of more than 41 years, including 31 years of experience in “Sales & Marketing” with Alico (MetLife Alico) - the leading multinational Life Insurance Company. Mr. Khan took part in various Training Programs both Home and Abroad and also facilitated as a Trainer on Marketing and Sales Program and Agency Executive Development Program. The seminar commenced with an inspiring speech from the Dr. Charles C. Villanueva, Dean, Faculty of Business Administration, addressing the students. Mr. Khan delivered a stimulating speech covering areas of responsibility and respect impacting on a person’s moral values and ethics. He related how an individual can develop his/her cognitive thinking. He also stressed on how the cognitive thinking can allow a person to become an effective and successful sales executive. The students actively participated in the seminar and enjoyed the open discussion with full heart and interest. The seminar was organized and coordinated by Mr. Stanley Rodrick and Mr. Hamidul Islam, Faculties of the Marketing Department, in co-ordination with Mr. Zobair Shibli, Head, Department of Marketing.  Mr. Md. Golam Mostofa, Ms. Tahsina Khan & Mr. Mahmud Habib Zaman, Faculty members from the Department of Marketing were also present during the seminar. At the end of the seminar, Dr. Ehsanul Huda Chowdhury, Director, BBA Program expressed his Vote of Thanks to the Guest Speaker and presented him with a Certificate of Appreciation and a gift pack as a token of gratitude.
