Seminar on "Job opportunity and training on Artificial Intelligence" organized by ACES

AIUB Community of Engineering Students (ACES) organized a Seminar on "Job opportunity and training on Artificial Intelligence" at the Multipurpose Hall, Annex 7, American International University-Bangladesh. The event commenced at 4 pm with the participation of more than 180 students from different departments of the university. The objective of this seminar was to enlighten the students about the fast-paced advancement in Artificial Intelligence (AI) and to motivate them to pursue their career in Japan based corporations. 
Prof. Dr. A.B.M. Siddique Hossain (Dean, Faculty of Engineering, AIUB) inaugurated the seminar by welcoming the guests and participants by delivering an insightful speech, where he discussed about the impacts of Artificial Intelligence on our daily life and expressed his view on establishing a strong Japan-Bangladesh AI relationship by utilizing the job opportunities provided to the students. Afterwards, the first guest speaker Engr. Anisul Haque (Vice President & Co-founder of Hiperdyne Corporation, Japan) was invited on the stage to elaborately discuss about the recruitment procedure of the Hiperdyne Corporation through an informative presentation and the policy of the company along with the market demand of AI. In addition, he expressed his gratification towards the performance of current Bangladeshi workers of his company and has also encouraged the AIUB graduates to join the team. The second speaker Engr. Kazuhiro Igarashi (Co-founder of Hiperdyne Corporation, Japan) gave an eminent speech on the current position of AI and commended the talent and dedication of all Bangladeshi employees and hence broached forward the proposal of hiring graduates from Bangladesh believing them to be a beneficial asset to his company. Two of the recent recruits of Hyperdyne Corporation Engr. Raihanul Islam (Employee, Hiperdyne Corporation, Japan, AUST) and Engr. Shihab Uddin Ahmed (Employee, Hiperdyne Corporation, Japan and Alumni, AIUB) were also present in the seminar. They conversed about the importance of considering a career in AI while sharing their experiences in Hyperdyne Corporation. Furthermore, proceeded on highlighting the terms and condition of the company alongside the friendly environment and flexibility of working in Japan. Lastly, there was an interactive question-answer session conducted by the speakers where participants enthusiastically raised various intriguing questions.
The event came to its conclusion with the motivational speech from Prof. Dr. Md. Abdul Mannan (Head, Department of EEE, Faculty of Engineering, AIUB) where he encouraged the participants to be self assertive in pursuing their goals and expressed his gratitude towards the entire ACES working team for making the event successful. Afterwards, honourable Prof. Dr. A.B.M. Siddique Hossain (Dean, Faculty of Engineering, AIUB) and Prof. Dr. Abdul Mannan (Head, Department of EEE, Faculty of Engineering, AIUB) provided token of appreciation to all the guest speakers. Dr. Narottam Kumar Das (Professor, Faculty of Engineering, AIUB), Dr. Md. Kamrul Hassan (Associate Professor, Faculty of Engineering, AIUB), Mr. Safayet Ahmed (Lecturer, Faculty of Engineering, AIUB & Motivator of ACES), Ms. Sumaiya Umme Hani (Senior Lecturer, Faculty of Engineering, AIUB & Motivator of ACES), Mr. Kazi Ahmed Asif Fuad (Lecturer, Faculty of Engineering, AIUB) and Mr. Kawshik Shikder (Lecturer, Faculty of Engineering, AIUB) graced the ceremony with their presence.
