| On 14th October 2009 at 6pm, a seminar was held at the auditorium of American International University-Bangladesh (AIUB) on “Interdependence of Drugs, Crime and HIV/AIDS in Bangladesh”. Public Health specialist Mr. Mahidul Islam was the key note speaker of the seminar. The interdependence of drug’s usage and spreading, criminal activities, effects of drug addiction and HIV/AIDS was shown in the seminar. The Seminar was presided by Dr. Anwarul Abedin, Founder Chairman, Board of Trustees, AIUB. The closing speech of the seminar was delivered by Dr. Charles. Dr. Md. Nazrul Islam and Dr. Abdur Rahim also participated in the discussion of the seminar. The Seminar was anchored by the MPH Program Officer Dr. Aurangzeb. At the end, Founder Chairman of AIUB Dr. Anwarul Abedin handed over a certificate to the key note speaker Mr. Mahidul Islam.
