Sponsored by Grameen Phone, EATL-Prothom Alo Apps Contest motivating seminar was held at American International University-Bangladesh (AIUB) campus auditorium on 27th October 2014. Ethics Advance Technology Limited (EATL) arranged the seminar with the cooperation of the Department of Computer Science. Honorable Dean of Faculty of Science and IT, Prof. Dr. Tafazzal Hossain inaugurated the function as chief guest. Dean in his speech praised the role of the teachers and students in the department and also expressed his gratitude to EATL and Prothom Alo for the initiative. Dr. Nizam Uddin Ahmed, CEO of EATL discussed about the details of the contest, where he described the purpose of the contest, who can participate and how can they participate in to the contest. He also presented the rules and regulation along with the prizes for the winners. Director of FSIT Mr. Mashiour Rahman, as a special guest, encouraged students to develop new apps not only for mere participation but also to contribute for the welfare of the country. Among others, Registrar of AIUB Prof. M. A.Quaiyum, Head of Undergraduate Program Dr. Dip Nandi and Head of Graduate Program Dr. Tabin Hasan were also present in the Seminar.
