A seminar entitled “Discussion Forum with Business Students of AIUB on Credit Rating Activities” was organized by the Department of Finance on April 10, 2012 at AIUB Auditorium. Mr. Md. Zakaria Masud, Head of Accounting Department delivered the welcome speech with his inspiring and motivational words. Mr. Mohammed Tajul Islam, Vice President & Head of Ratings was the guest speaker of the seminar. Mr. Tajul with his vast experience in the industry has illustrated the need, importance, evaluation process and so many other relevant and interesting issues. He has also demonstrated the rating criteria that have been used by his organization and by the local peers as well as by international rating agencies. Mr. Tajul also responded to the different questions asked by the faculty members and students during his interactive discussion.
The Seminar was organized and coordinated by Mr. Abdus Shahed, Faculty, Department of Finance in coordination with Dr. Dulal Miah, Head of Finance Department. Mr. Taseen Chowdhury, Mr. Faridul Alam, Ms. Kassfia Sharmeen, and Mr. Rashedul Hasan, Faculty members from the Department of Accounting and Finance were also present during the seminar.
At the end of the seminar, vote of thanks was given by Mr. Md. Zakaria Masud. Mr. Tajul was presented with a Certificate of Appreciation and some souvenirs of the university as gesture of thanks. |
