Seminar on "Credit Scoring Model in Credit Risk Management"
A seminar entitled "Credit Scoring Model in Credit Risk Management" was held on April 20th, 2011 at 12:30 to 2:00 pm in the AIUB Auditorium, organized by the Department of Operations Management. Prof. Dr. Charles C. Villanueva was the chief guest at the seminar. He delivered the welcome speech with his inspiring and motivational words. Mr. Khorshed Ahmed Talukdar and Mr. Ashfaque A. Mohib, faculty of Business Administration were the resource speakers of this seminar. Prof. Dr. Matiur Rahman, Associate Dean, faculty of Business Administration, Mr. Zobair Shibli, Head, Department of Operations Management, Mr. Zakaria Masud, Head, Department of Accounting, Dr. Dulal Miah, Head, Department of Finance and many other honorable faculty members also attended the seminar.
The resource speakers gave an overview on credit risk model development process, and how these models are supposed to help the business users in making effective business decisions in credit risk management. They addressed some of the basic aspects of these credit scoring models, and illustrated how financial institutes can benefit from these statistical models.
The lecture ended with a lively question-answer session. The students were very happy to join the seminar. At the end of the seminar, Mr. Zobair Shibli delivered the vote of thanks. Mr. Zakaria Masud and Dr. Dulal Miah handed over the certificates of appreciation to the resource speakers.
