On Monday, January 5, 2026, a transformative seminar titled “Career, Entrepreneurship & Business Development” was successfully organized by the Faculty of Engineering, supported by IEOM AIUB Student Chapter aimed at bridging the gap between academic knowledge and real-world success for aspiring engineers and entrepreneurs.

The program began with an inaugural address by Prof. Dr. Mohammad Abdul Mannan, Associate Dean, Faculty of Engineering, AIUB, whose speech focused on maximizing individual potential and purposeful career growth. The keynote session, delivered by the resource person Mr. Abu Sufian Haider, Owner of Alpha Net, Orlando, Florida, USA, offered global insights on the evolving professional landscape. The seminar explored entrepreneurial foundations, emerging engineering career pathways, the role of emotional intelligence in leadership, and opportunities in business development; while providing participants with strategic guidance on navigating early career challenges, securing their first professional role, and making short-term sacrifices for long-term success.

The event was attended by approximately 140 students from various departments, reflecting strong interdisciplinary participation. Before the conclusion of the program, an engaging interactive quiz session based on the keynote discussion was conducted by Mr. Haider, during which two students emerged as winners and were awarded prizes for their performance. Then, a token of appreciation was presented to the guests- Mr. Abu Sufian Haider; Dr. Md. Anwarul Kabir Bhuiyan, Professor, University of Rajshahi; Nazmous Shakib, Dept. Head of Training and Communication, Alpha Net; and Omar Faruk, Dept. Head of Accounts & Finance, Alpha Net on behalf of AIUB by Prof. Dr. Md. Saniat Rahman Zishan, Director, Faculty of Engineering, AIUB and Dr. Md. Ehasanul Haque, Associate Professor and Department Head, Department of IPE, AIUB. In a gracious gesture of mutual regard, Mr. Haider and his team also presented reciprocal gift hampers to Dr. Zishan and Dr. Ehasanul.

The session concluded with an atmosphere of inspiration, equipping participants with practical insights and a forward-looking mindset for their future careers.
