SEMINAR ON BRANDING STRATEGIES AND SALES TACTICS FOR FMCG PRODUCTS IN BANGLADESH

The Department of Marketing, Faculty of Business Administration of American International University-Bangladesh, organized a seminar entitled “Branding Strategies and Sales Tactics”, on December 3, 2015 at the AIUB Auditorium. The Guest Speakers of the seminar were Mr. Mahbub Baset, Marketing Director, Reckitt Benckiser – Bangladesh- Sri Lanka Cluster, and Mr. Kazi Arif Zaman, Sales Director, Reckitt Benckiser - Bangladesh Market Region.

 

The seminar started with an inspiring speech from Prof. Dr. Charles C. Villanueva, Pro-Vice Chancellor and Dean, Faculty of Business Administration. After that, Mr. Mahbub and Mr. Arif respectively delivered their stimulating lecture discussions covering the major areas of Brand strategies and Sales tools & tactics used for making a FMCG brand successful in the market. They also shared their valuable thoughts, ideas and practical experiences about managing Sales and Marketing both in home and abroad. The students actively participated in the seminar and enjoyed the open discussion with full heart and interest.  

The seminar was organized and coordinated by Ms. Syeda Ismoth Iqbal, Lecturer, Department of Marketing and Mr. Hamidul Islam, Asst. Professor, Department of Marketing as a part of students’ development program. Dr. Nisar Ahmed, Director, MBA Program, and Dr. Anisur Rahman Faroque, Head, Department of Marketing graced the seminar with their participation.  Among others, Mr. Stanley Rrodrick, Mr. Redwan Salam, Mr. Saihad Rahman, Ms. Madhobi Hossain, Faculty members from the Department of Marketing and Ms. Musrat Mou, Faculty from the Department of Management were also present during the seminar.

At the end of the seminar, Mr. Abdul Kader Nazmul, Director, BBA Program expressed his vote of thanks to the guest speakers and then Prof.  Dr. Charles C. Villanueva along with other faculty members presented them with Certificates of Appreciation.
