Seminar on “Agile Way of Developing Software”

The Department of Management Information System (MIS), organized a seminar titled “Agile Way of Developing Software” at Annex-3 of AIUB campus on August 16 at 4pm with Mr. Tawfiq Mohammad Abdus Sattar, Head of ERP Solution, ERA InfoTech Limited as the keynote speaker. Mr. Satter discussed customer-centric software development methodology, industry practices and the next industry requirement in the field of information Technology (IT) and Business. He also encouraged participants to focus on data-driven learning to meet the future market requirements like data analyst, data scientist etc.

As a certified Agile leader, Mr. Satter shared his learning and professional experiences in the software development projects and importance of agile methodology in the software development life cycle (SDLC). In his session, the speaker addressed complexities and prospects of using agile and other methodologies in the software development process. Meanwhile, the speaker highlighted students’ skills requirements and suggested students focus on communication skills with technical skills to secure the next market position. Mr. Satter emphasized using agile methodology to create a flexible culture, stakeholder collaboration, customer-focus and improve leading project outcomes with maximum customer satisfaction. The participants were engaged in a two-way discussion about SDLC, industry and academia practices and industry requirements future market skills demand. This seminar has opened an extended opportunity for participants to check their school learning with industry requirements and build a linear relationship with professionals.

This seminar assisted academic partners to adopt an innovation and sustainable quality education collaboration aligned with SDG goals. This seminar is directly associated with quality education and industry, innovation and infrastructure and partnership to achieve the goal.
