On Thursday, February 19, 2026, the IEEE AIUB Student Branch successfully organized a distinguished seminar titled “Agentic AI: How Autonomous AI Systems will Shape Future Careers” aimed to provide key insights into how the rise of Agentic AI is transforming industries and reshaping career pathways in an increasingly autonomous digital landscape.
The seminar was inaugurated by Prof. Dr. A.B.M Siddique Hossain, Dean, FE, AIUB; in his speech, he highlighted the revolutionary transformations AI has brought to the modern world. He then welcomed on stage the distinguished speaker of the seminar Dr. Muhammad Firoz Mridha, Professor, Department of CS, AIUB. He commenced by discussing the evolution of AI from traditional AI to Agentic AI, explaining the development phases of Agentic AI from classical machine learning to large language models and industry exposure. He then gave insights into the core skills required to master Agentic AI development. He also addressed governance and risk factors of the widespread use of Agentic AI. The lecture concluded with an interactive Q&A session, where Prof. Dr. Firoz addressed various queries from enthusiastic participants, fostering a dynamic exchange of ideas.
Following the Q&A session, Prof. Dr. Mohammad Abdul Mannan, Associate Dean, FE, AIUB; Advisor, IEEE AIUB Student Branch delivered the closing remarks by thanking the speaker for his enlightening session as well as the IEEE AIUB Student Branch for organizing the seminar. Dr. Gour Chand Mazumder, Assistant Professor, FE, EEE, Counsellor, IEEE AIUB Student Branch was present in the event. Afterwards, a token of appreciation was presented to the speaker by Prof. Dr. Mohammad Abdul Mannan.
