To prepare the students for the job market a seminar entitled: “A WIN-WIN GUIDE TO YOUR CAREER - LEARN FROM THE EXPERT" was organized by the Department of Accounting & Finance of American International University-Bangladesh on 23^rd March 2017. The target audience were the students of the courses Taxation and Financial and Corporate Reporting. The main objective of the seminar was to provide tips for the students before entering the job market. The resource person of the seminar was Mr. Melveen F. Alam, Country Head Talent Acquisition, Human Resource Department, Standard Chartered Bank Limited, Bangladesh.  Professor Dr. Charles C. Villanueva, Pro Vice Chancellor & Dean, Faculty of Business Administration; Professor Dr. Nisar Ahmed, Director, MBA Program; Mr. Mohammad Faridul Alam, Head, Department of Accounting and Finance; and many other faculty members were also present at the seminar.

The resource speaker, with valid statistical reference, provided many tips regarding CV and Cover Letter writing, and interview preparation for the job. The students were given guidelines on how to pursue their career and set career goals. The speaker highlighted on some key issues that students need to be acquainted with and he also pointed out some skills that are essential for them to get an edge over the others. The students felt highly encouraged on learning such aspects from an expert. The session ended with an interactive question and answer session.

The resource speaker was handed over a certificate of appreciation by Prof. Dr. Charles C. Villanueva, Pro Vice Chancellor and Dean of Faculty of Business Administration. Professor Dr. Nisar Ahmed, Director, MBA Program, presented the souvenir to the resource speaker on behalf of the university. The event was coordinated by Mrs. Bohi Shajahan, Assistant Professor, Department of Finance, Faculty of Business Administration.
