The Department of English, AIUB has organized another successful seminar on October 3, 2019 on teaching using unique methods. Shihab Saqib and Risala Ahmed, Faculties of the Department of English, AIUB has presented a paper on “Impact of Social Media Method for Retake Students of English for Academic Purpose Courses”. In this seminar, faculty members of various departments along with the Dean of the Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences were actively present. This research was conducted on the students of AIUB on the basis of language classes and their performance in coordination with traditional and new teaching methods. This paper includes findings which shows that the retake students possessed positive attitudes, motivation, and gain self-confidence in learning  English  language when social media is used in teaching and learning both inside and outside the classroom.

This interesting topic sparked an even more interesting question answer session at the end of the presentation and the audience had a number of questions and observations on the study which benefited both the presenters and the audience.
