The Department of Operations Management of American International University-Bangladesh arranged a seminar on 16 November, 2016, for the OM Major students. From the upcoming semester, major in Operations Management is going to be known as Operations and Supply Chain Management. Therefore, focused on operations and supply chain, Department of OM arranged the seminar.

The event began with the welcome speech of Prof. Dr. Charles C. Villanueva, Pro Vice Chancellor & Dean, Faculty of Business Administration, AIUB. To enhance the Students’ knowledge base, Mr. Arif Ahmed Choudhury, Senior Vice President, Bank & NBFI Services, Link3 Technologies Limited, gave a presentation on Practices of Supply Chain Management in the Corporate World of Bangladesh. Sharing his practical knowledge and valuable experiences, the speaker addressed the use of supply chain in corporate sectors of the country.

Dr. Nisar Ahmed, Associate Professor, Director, MBA program & Head of the Department of OM, delivered a vote of thanks to the guest speaker for his valuable discussion and closed the session by presenting a Certificate of Appreciation and a gift pack.

Dr. Tamanna Islam, Assistant Professor, Mohammad Ali, Assistant Professor, Ms. Sadia Rahman, Assistant Professor and Ms. Nazmun Nahar, Assistant Professor, Department of OM, organized the session. Dr. Nisar Ahmed, Head of the Department of OM and Ashfaque A. Mohib, Senior Assistant Professor, Department of OM, provided their continuous support for the to ensure the success of the seminar.
