On June 06, 2016, a seminar titled “Prospects of RESEARCH & SOFTWARE DEVELOPMENT in Software Engineering” was held at the AIUB Auditorium. The seminar was moderated by Syed Ishteaque Ahmed and M. Arifur Rahman, Faculty members of the Department of Computer Science, FSIT. The main objective of this seminar was to introduce the students with the various aspects and trends of research and software development related to Software Engineering. The discussion was enlightened by the presence of Dr. Dip Nandi, Head of Undergraduate Program, Department of Computer Science, and Dr. Tabin Hasan, Head of Graduate Program, Department of Computer Science. Mr. M Arifur Rahman started the seminar with his talk on “Software Engineering Opportunities in the industry”, followed by Mr. Sajib Hasan, who talked about “AI in Software Engineering”. The later part of the seminar was proceeded by Mr. M. Mahmudul Hasan, who emphasized on the “Importance of maintaining accuracy in Software Requirement Engineering”, and Mr. Syed Ishteaque Ahmed, with his explanations on the “Current trends of Research and Development in Software Engineering”. Some of the esteemed faculty members of the Computer Science department were also present in the seminar to motivate the speakers and students. The seminar was interactively participated by the students and it is believed that they took some valuable insights from here.
