The SAP University Alliance team conducted an orientation in the AIUB to address various concerns regarding the upcoming program. The said event was led by Ed Alcanzare “We were really happy about the turn up of the participant. We had a lot of questions that were answered and now we get great response from the attendees confirming their confidence in the program. July 19 was attended predominantly aiub student base however a wider demographic was observed in the July 22 orientation. Recently a meeting was held at AIUB with the SAP Bangladesh head of business in Faheem Tanveer Ahmed who took up the opportunity to speak in behalf of the ERP giant to the attendees of the orientation. “We are happy about AIUB doing this initiative. It’s time we build resources right now to establish an ecosystem that can sustain the work demands in the country. The problem of SAP trained workforce in the country has been a big problem for quite a while simply because there’s very little popularity in the education sector. If you look at the biggest companies in both local and multinational companies in Bangladesh, over 80% of them are SAP customers. If you look at employers such as
Square, Proctor and Gamble, Nestle and so on place “SAP trained preferred”. People who are trained in SAP definitely have a big edge in the job market. We have observed that people with SAP experience not only get jobs easier but are also offered higher compensation.” Attendees were able to see the job potential and greater insight in mapping out their careers.
