Samsung Research and Development Institute Bangladesh LTD. (SRBD), one of the Research & Development operations of the electronic industry giant Samsung international based in Korea has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the American International University-Bangladesh (AIUB) as research and technical partners to mutually promote the mobile and other consumer driven program and system development. This partnership with the University is the first undertaking of SRBD to launch their innovative approach of research & development involving students and employees of an educational institution in Bangladesh. The MOU was formalized upon the signing of Dr. Carmen Z. Lamagna, Honorable Vice Chancellor of AIUB and Dr. Nam Kyu Lee, Managing Director of SRBD. The signing ceremony was also witnessed by Dr. Tabin Hasan (Head, PG), Dr. Dip Nandi (Head, UG), Prof. Dr. Hasan Jamil (Visitng Prof) and Mr. M. Arifur Rahman Lecturer of Department of Computer Science from AIUB, and Mr. Mohammad Shahidul Islam, Director of Mobile Development, Mr. Wahidur Rahman, Senior Chief Engineer and Mr. Raquibul Hasan from SRBD. As a take off activity within the spirit of the MOU, SRBD is working with Tizen system and solution with AIUB as the very first project on the current semester.  The University, particularly the Faculty of Science & Information Technology is confident that the collaboration will be productive and beneficial to both AIUB and SRBD in the years to come.
