On Thursday, 30^th April 2024, the Department of Accounting organized an enriching webinar on “Revolutionizing Business: A Journey of Transformation Through ERP Systems” for its students in the media studio [Annex 2] from 11.00 am to 12.30 pm. The students participated in the webinar using the Microsoft Teams platform. The webinar aimed to provide students with a comprehensive understanding of ERP role in streamlining business processes, enhancing efficiency, and driving organizational success. The seminar was entirely organized for the core students of the BBA department.

The resource person for this webinar was Mr. Anik Kumar Kundu ACMA ITP, Deputy Manager (Finance & Accounts), Beacon Pharmaceuticals PLC. He initiated the webinar by sharing his personal transformation process, which he then used as an example of business transformation and the role of ERP in it. He discussed the fundamentals of ERP systems and how they are used in today's business environment, as well as his own experience using this system in his everyday activities at Beacon. He then presented the modules of SAP ERP software, using a practical example to illustrate all the system's principles. The webinar's context addresses the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), with a focus on SDG-4 (Quality Education), and SDG-9 (Industry, Innovation, and Infrastructure). The session was interactive, and students actively participated via an online platform. Faculty members of the Department of Accounting were physically presented there to conduct the webinar smoothly.

In today’s competitive business landscape, understanding ERP systems is crucial for aspiring professionals. Attending this webinar provided attendees with not just insights into ERP modules, but also an overall understanding of how they may obtain a competitive advantage in today's business environment. This program was organized by Saeeda Tajrian, Lecturer, Department of Accounting, Faculty of Business Administration AIUB. Overall, the program was supervised & directed by Dr. Kamrul Hasan, Associate Professor and Head of Accounting department. He gave a welcome speech as well as a vote of thanks for conducting the webinar successfully. At the end of the session, Dr Mohammad Faridul Alam, Director [MBA and EMBA Program] provided a certificate as well as a token gift to the key speaker. The Department of Accounting humbly appreciates the openhanded support extended by the Director (BBA program) Dr. Rezbin Nahar and the AIUB management for successfully conducting the webinar.

In conclusion, this webinar not only met but exceeded expectations in delivering valuable knowledge and insights to participants. Based on the success of this webinar, there is a strong interest in organizing follow-up sessions as well as advanced workshop focusing on specialized ERP modules in the near future.
