Remote Seminar on “Developing a Researcher”

A remote seminar entitled “Developing a Researcher” was held on Thursday, April 5th, 2012. The seminar was conducted over the internet and was interactive in nature.
The event started at 4 pm. The event was organized by IEEE AIUB Student Branch. Its objective was to advise and guide students through the process of writing Research Papers. The guest speaker was Mr. Muhammad Saqib Jamil. The event was graced by the presence of Prof. Dr. ABM Siddique Hossain,Dean, Faculty of Engineering and Prof. M. A. Quaiyum, Registrar. The event started with a speech by Prof. Dr. ABM Siddique Hossain. Mr. Rinku Basak, Head of the EEE Department and Mr. Abdur Rahman, Head of the EEE Department along with faculty members Mr. Chowdhury Akram Hossain, Mr. Abrar Faisal, Mr. Arman Riaz Ochi, Ms. Afsah Sharmin were present in the event. The speaker shared his experience of writing research papers to a packed room of enthusiastic students. The event ended with a Question and Answer session. About the speaker: Muhammad Saqib Jamil completed his B.Sc. in Electronic Engineering from University College of Engineering and Technology at The Islamia University of Bahawalpur. He has been involved with IEEE since 2009 and is the founding Chairman of the IEEE Chapter at University College of Engineering and Technology, The Islamia University of Bahawalpur (IEEE UCET IUB Student Branch). He is also a Research and Development Officer at the National Academy of Young Scientists of Pakistan and is currently working for Google, Pakistan.
