The 3^rd Death Anniversary of Late Dr. Anwarul Abedin, Founder Chairman-, American International University – Bangladesh (AIUB) was observed on Saturday, the 5th September 2015 in a befitting manner. Quran Khani was organized in all campuses of AIUB followed by a discussion meeting remembering his illustrious life at the AIUB Auditorium at 3:30 PM. A video presentation was shown on his various activities in his life. He is remembered by highlighting his lifelong activities by AIUB Vice Chancellor Dr. Carmen Z. Lamagna, Prime Asia University Pro-Vice Chancellor Professor Dr. Saiful Islam, the sons of Late Dr. Anwarul Abedin Dr. Hasanul A. Hasan and Mr. Ishtiaque Abedin, Member of Board of Trustees Mr. S. M. Zakaria, Vice President (Academics) Professor Dr. Tafazzal Hossain, Dean (Faculty of Engineering) Prof. Dr. A. B. M. Siddique Hossain and Director (Special Project) Md. Shahidullah.

Prayer and Doa Mahfil; was held after the meeting. The program was attend by the family members, relatives, friends and well wishers in addition to teachers, officers, students and employee of AIUB.   

Earlier on 4^th September another Doa Mahfil was arranged after Jummah Prayer at AIUB Research, Training, Planning and Development Centre, Sreepur, Gazipur where he was laid to rest. This was followed by ziarat at the Graveyard of Late. Dr. Anwarul Abedin and distribution of food to the local people and among the orphan and distressed people.
