Team Wizards, comprising students from AIUB, participated in the LofiStack Hackathon 2026, which was held virtually on 30 August 2026 with an intensive four-hour development period. The team consisted of Ashesh Deb Priom (Team Lead), Md. Sazzad Siddique (Developer), and Rezuan Islam (Developer).

The team learned about the hackathon through programming communities on Facebook and later joined the competition through its official Discord channel. Participating in the event was both challenging and rewarding, as the members had to understand the given problem, design an appropriate solution, develop it, and deploy a functional product within a highly constrained timeframe. Their efforts resulted in an outstanding achievement, with Team Wizards securing the Champion position among 72 participating teams. The team's success was supported by complementary skills in software development, problem-solving, system design, UI/UX, and rapid prototyping, along with effective communication and teamwork. Knowledge acquired through relevant AIUB courses, including Object-Oriented Programming, Data Structures and Algorithms, Database Management, Software Engineering, Human-Computer Interaction (HCI), and other programming-related courses, enabled the team to apply systematic approaches to the challenges presented during the hackathon. One of the most valuable lessons was learning how to transform a problem statement into a practical and functional solution within a limited timeframe. The experience also strengthened their teamwork, time management, technical decision-making, adaptability, and ability to perform under pressure. Most importantly, the hackathon provided the students with valuable hands-on experience in translating their academic knowledge into practical, real-world software development.
