Professional Management Accounting Education in Bangladesh - Implications to Accounting and Finance Graduates

Wednesday 7 January 2015 In co-operation with the Institute of Cost and Management Accountants of Bangladesh (ICMAB), the Accounting Department of American International University – Bangladesh (AIUB) arranged an informative and interactive session on December 1, 2014 at AIUB Auditorium. Around 200 students attended the session along with the faculty members of Accounting and Finance departments of AIUB. Mr. Mohammed Salim, FCMA, President, Mr. Jamal Ahmed Choudhury, FCMA, Secretary and Mr. Zillur Rahman, FCMA spoke in the program on behalf of the Institute while Prof. Md. Maksudur Rahman Sarker, FCMA, Director, AQAC, Mr. Roomee Tareque Moudud, FCMA, Director, OPA and Mohammad Zakaria Masud, FCMA, Assistant Professor & Department Head, Department of Accounting, AIUB spoke on behalf of the University. Among other Mr. Md. Kausar Alam, FCMA, Group Chief Financial Officer, Rahimafrooz (Bangladesh) Ltd. and Lt. Col. Md. Humayun Kabir, psc (Retd), Director, ICMAB and senior officials of ICMAB attended the program. At the end of the program the ICMAB delegates met Dr. Charles C. Villanueva, Pro VC and Dean, FBA, AIUB for possible collaboration and partnership.
