Presentation of “Holcim Green Built Bangladesh” At Architecture Department Of AIUB
PRESENTATION OF “HOLCIM GREEN BUILT BANGLADESH” AT ARCHITECTURE DEPARTMENT OF AIUB
A team from Holcim Bangladesh visited AIUB Architecture Department for a presentation on Tuesday 3rd November 2009, at campus 7. The team was led by Engineer Manjurul Islam, Assistant Manager, Customer Support, Holcim Bangladesh Ltd. He shared the ‘Green Attitude’ of Hoilcim through a presentation with the faculties and students concerning the Green Built Bangladesh contest.

Holcim is promoting a sense of culture towards sustainable progress. The concept is of "Green Built Bangladesh", (http://www.holcimgreenbuiltbd.com/) catering to the needs of our present and future generations. As a stem of their non-commercial campaign they are trying to inspire engineers, architects, planners, developers and contractors to adopt new Green Construction parameters for all their building projects. Holcim Green Built Bangladesh (HGBB) is a contest to encourage engineers, architects, planners, and especially students to focus on Sustainability and strive to develop the approaches of green built concept in Bangladesh. The brief session ended up with treat and souvenir from Holcim to all the participants. Students inspired and expected to take part in the design contest by realizing the necessity of green built Bangladesh.
