The Department of Management Information Systems (MIS) and Business Analytics, Faculty of Business Administration (FBA) at American International University – Bangladesh (AIUB) organized a poster competition titled "Poster Competition on MIS in Business Process Automation" on 20th August 2026 at Room 3203, 3204, and 3205 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM. The event was organized by Ms. Fatema Tuz Zahra, Lecturer, and Mr. Jubayer Suhan, Assistant Professor, both from the Department of MIS. The Dean of FBA, Prof. Dr. Anwar Hossain, along with Mr. Partha Prasad Chowdhury, Director-in-Charge of FBA, and Ms. Nusrat Nowreen Srabonty, Lecturer of FBA, graced the occasion, while 270 enrolled students of the MIS course, comprising both BBA and CSE students, participated in enthusiastic numbers.

The competition showcased the creativity and analytical thinking of participating students, who presented a total of 55 posters exploring how Management Information Systems drive business process automation. Working individually and in teams, the students translated core MIS concepts into visual narratives, illustrating how automation reshapes workflows, decision-making, and operational efficiency across modern organizations. The diverse participation of both BBA and CSE students enriched the exhibition, bringing together business and technical perspectives on a shared theme, and reflecting the interdisciplinary spirit that defines the discipline.

The event concluded with a closing speech by Mr. Mehzabul Hoque Nahid, Head of the Department of MIS, who remarked that every competition has both winners and those who fall short. He congratulated the winners on their achievement and warmly encouraged those who did not win this time to try again, wishing all the participants the very best for their future endeavors. The competition offered students a valuable platform to connect their academic knowledge in MIS with real-world applications of business process automation, reinforcing the department's commitment to nurturing both creativity and practical competence.
