Poster Competition - Risk, Return, and Reality: Decoding the world of Finance

A Poster Competition was organized on August 24th, 2026, in the exhibition area situated between Annex 4 and Annex 5 on Level 2. The initiative provided students with a platform to demonstrate their knowledge and interpretation of various financial concepts through visual presentation and creative expression. The competition focused on developing students’ analytical and innovative abilities while encouraging them to explore current and emerging issues related to finance. By connecting classroom-based theories with practical financial matters, the event promoted experiential learning and strengthened students’ abilities to analyze problems, develop creative ideas, and collaborate effectively as a team.

Following the competition, an Award Ceremony was held on the same day, to acknowledge and celebrate the accomplishments of the participating students. The ceremony was graced by Professor Dr. Anwar Hossain, Advisor and Dean-in-Charge of the Faculty of Business Administration, who attended as the Chief Guest at inauguration ceremony. The event also welcomed Dr. Mohammad Faridul Alam, Professor and Director of the MBA Program, and Dr. Partha Prasad Chowdhury, Professor and Director-in-Charge of the BBA Program, as distinguished guests, Dr. Md. Sazzadur Rahman Khan, Associate Professor and Head of the Department of Accounting, Dr. Kamrul Hasan, Professor, Department of Accounting.

The successful organization of the program was made possible through the collaborative efforts of Bohi Shajahan, Senior Assistant Professor, Department of Finance; Md. Joynal Abedin, Associate Professor of the Department of Finance and Coordinator, Office of Sports; Quazi Nur Alam, Assistant Professor of the Department of Finance; and Nabila Wahid, Lecturer of the Department of Finance.

As a means of acknowledging the students’ creativity, commitment, and performance, the three highest-performing teams were presented with crests and gift bags. Motin Niaz Al , Fhamid Rakib Hasan and Hasan Sabik achieved the Champion position. The 1st Runner-up award went to Sara Fatema, Tajmul Islam and Ehsanul Haque Tanvir. Meanwhile, Sabiha Farhad Atika, Md. Moin Talukder,  and Roman Hossain Nirob secured the 2nd Runner-up position. Certificates were also presented to the winning teams and program volunteers in recognition of their active participation, dedication, and valuable contributions to the successful completion of the event.

The initiative contributed to the advancement of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), with particular relevance to SDG 4: Quality Education and SDG 9: Industry, Innovation and Infrastructure. Through an emphasis on practical learning, creativity, collaboration, and innovation, the program reflected AIUB’s continued commitment to academic development, innovative education, and positive societal impact.
