A daylong poster competition titled “Let's Change for Humanity for a Humane Society” was organized by the Department of Social Science at campus 7 on 7^th April, 2016. The event aimed at making FBA, FASS and Architecture students aware of various social issues of Bangladesh.  This competition created social awareness among the participants and other students.

The session was inaugurated by Professor Dr. Tazul Islam, Dean of Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences, in the presence of the Head of the Department of Social Science, Dr. Md. Taufiqul Islam, and Faculty members Dr. Buddha Dev Biswas, Ms. Shaira Matin and Ms. Farhana Afroz.   

Later Professor Dr. Charles C. Villanueva, the  Pro Vice Chancellor distributed the prizes and certificates among the successful participants.

Out of a total of 33 competiting groups, three groups were given prizes and ten were awarded certificates of appreciation. The judges panel included Dr. Faheem Hasan Shahed, Ms. Sadia J. Rahman, Mr. Borendra Lal Tripura and Ms. Risala Ahmed. The Department Social Science acknowledges the generous support of the AIUB Management in making the program a success.
