Panyapiwat Institute of Management (PIM) visited AIUB

Representatives from the Panyapiwat Institute of Management (PIM), one of the most successfully established corporate universities in Thailand, operating under the global conglomerate, CP All Plc., came to Bangladesh for a 2-day visit to the American International University – Bangladesh (AIUB), in order to further the constructive collaboration opportunities between the two institutions.

As a follow-up of a previous meeting between the Vice Chancellor of AIUB, Dr. Carmen Z. Lamgana, and the President of PIM, Prof. Dr. Sompop Manarungsan, PIM representatives had a productive meeting on the particular programs that both institutions could collaborate on. The Associate Director of International Marketing and Recruitment at PIM, Ms. Tanarat Teeratanakiat, along with the Assistant Director of International Marketing and Recruitment, Mr. Atit Koirala, met with the Dr. Lamagna, as well as Ms. Nadia Anwat, one of the Founders of the AIUB and the Vice President of Student Affairs, along with some of the academic deans and administrative directors. The discussion focused on the details of a potential internship exchange program for the students, developing training programs specializing on upcoming business trends, and other prospective academic and cultural programs the institutions could work on together.

The representatives also conducted an Information Seminar for the students of AIUB, elaborating on the internship exchange program, along with the different academic programs and collaborative opportunities PIM had to offer them. The seminar was followed by a one-to-one session with interested students who wanted additional information on the internship and Master’s programs at PIM. With the positive and enthusiastic response from the students as well as the management throughout their visit, the collaboration between the institutions is bound to be a successful one, with this being the first step of many more to come in the future.
