ESAB AIUB Unit Face organized an orientation program for the new members at Room No. 266, Building-2, Faculty of Engineering, AIUB on 23^rd February 2015. The orientation ceremony provided an overview to the new members about the activities of ESAB along with its mission and vision.  The event was inaugurated with National anthem, followed by the exhibition of ESAB’s promotional video which conveyed the message of ESAB’s goal, motto, mission and most importantly its activities. Dr. A.B.M Siddique Hossain (Dean, Faculty of Engineering, AIUB) in his inauguration speech, emphasized why it is important for a student to utilize their time and knowledge for extracurricular activities. He also suggested to participate in different competitions to gather experience and enhance their expertise in the field of engineering. Dr. Md. Abdul Mannan (Associate Professor & Head, Department of EEE, AIUB) shared his experience about different seminars and workshops arranged by ESAB AIUB Unit Face, their importance and their usefulness. He also mentioned the campaign “Green rule” initiated by ESAB and encouraged ESAB’s AIUB Unit Face to arrange more campaigns on latest technologies. Later on, Mr. Mashrur H. Shurid (Program Coordination, Development and Planning Secretary, ESAB) commenced his speech by welcoming everyone, thanking the honorable guests for sharing their valuable experience. In his speech, he explained about ESAB, its goal and how the organization works. He also shared the story behind the birth of ESAB and how this organization became the largest engineering student’s community of Bangladesh. Following that, ESAB’s motivators, Mr. Tawsif Ibne Alam (Lecturer, Faculty of Engineering, AIUB) and Ms. Tajbia Karim (Lecturer, Faculty of Engineering, AIUB) delivered inspiring and interactive speeches on their journeys with ESAB.  Soon after, Mr. Md. Saniat Rahman Zishan (Assistant Professor, Department of EEE & Special Assistant OSA, AIUB) enlightened the audience about his present and past with ESAB AIUB Unit Face and said he is very optimist with the future of it. Mr. Chowdhury Akram Hossain (Assistant Professor, Department of EEE & Special Assistant OSA, AIUB) also shared his views on ESAB and how it got affiliated with AIUB.   Later on, honorable guests, Dr. A.B.M Siddique Hossain along with Dr. Md. Abdul Mannan handed over crests and certificates to the very talented and creative associates of ESAB AIUB Unit Face. Following that, Mr. Nayem Rahman (Former Coordinator, ESAB AIUB Unit Face) announced the very new face members of ESAB AIUB Unit Face. At the end of the event the newly appointed coordinator of ESAB AIUB Unit Face, Mr. SK. Abu Rohan (Student of EEE, AIUB) was introduced to the new members. The entire ceremony was hosted by ESAB Unit Face Member, Ms. Kazi Aniqa Nawar. Executives and all organizing and working members of ESAB attended the program.
