Orientation on UN Women’s Entrepreneurship Day Celebration

A workshop on  Women Entrepreneurship held in AIUB on 16 November 2016 Wednesday at FBA Bldg. Auditorium from 11.00 am to 12.30 pm. This event was organized by UN Women’s Entrepreneurship Day (“WED”), which is going to be held on 19th November, 2016.The mission of WED, is to alleviate poverty by empowering, celebrating and supporting women in business worldwide. WED Bangladesh is campaigning for the WOMEN ENTREPRENUERS, leading to worlds best business women from Bangladesh. 

 Prof. Dr. Charles Villanueva, Pro VC and Dean of FBA delivered the welcome speech for the guest speaker and the students. The Resource Speaker in the workshop was,

Ms.Moon Ahsan, WED World Ambassador Bangladesh, 2016.

She discussed on WED’s Activities, Objective and future Plan. WED is a global initiative with the mission to celebrate, support and empower women in business worldwide, which was initiated in 2014 by the WED Organization - headquartered in the U.S. in New York City (the “WED HQ”) and its founder Wendy Diamond. WED is the world’s largest celebration of women innovators and job creators launching startups that bring ideas to life, drive economic growth and expand human welfare. WED hopes to fund and empower 100,000 new impoverished women entrepreneurs with microloans who each deserve the opportunity to thrive in business! WED has launched a directory of women owned, run and/or led businesses to create this portal!

The session was followed by a Question-Answer session, from the Students and Faculty members of FBA.
