| With the continuation to the long tradition, AIUB Performing Arts Club (APAC) has organized the orientation program for the new recruits for “summer 2010-2011” on 15th June 2011. The evening started at 4.00 pm with the colorful performances followed by the introductory speech & Audio Video presentation. The dazzling program was designed with various cultural performances by the regular performers & fresh recruits. There was also one segment from the new student’s feelings sharing after joining the club. There were, chorus song, duet & solo performance, dance, magic, stage play, fashion show, advertisement & Audience Game. The club mourned the tragic death of Azam Khan the legend & POP Guru of Bangladesh and kept one minute silence in his memory. They also showed tribute to him & his creation by performing one of his legendary songs “Bangladesh”.
The program was enlightened by the gracious presence of the respected guests Prof. Dr. Tafazzal Hossian, Vice President Academics, Mr. Manzur H. Khan, Director, Office of Student Affairs (OSA). The guests shared their valuable views with their respective speeches. The Ex-President Mr. Al- Mamun also inspired the new members with his speech. The respected guests later distributed the Certificates to the best performers for the year 2011 from different categories. The colorful program ended with a vision to take the club further across the National & International Boarders.
