Organization Visit for the Students of Marketing Major at M. I. Cement Factory Ltd.

Department of Marketing organized one corporate/plant visit at M.I. Cement Factory Limited at West Mukterpur, Munsigonj on 13th of February, 2014. The visit was organized basically for the marketing major students of BBA program and was organized by Mr. Partha Prasad Chowdhury, Assistant Professor (Coordinator), Mr.  A.K.M. Kamrul Haque, Assistant Professor and Dr. Sahin Akter Sarker, Assistant Professor. The visit was both enjoyable and informative The insightful presentation & briefing session which was conducted by the organization contained detail information and provided students an opportunity to reduce the gap between theoretical knowledge and real life business situation in the context of cement manufacturing industry of the country. Mr. Malay Kumar Saha, Assistant General Manager (Quality Assurance & Lab), Mr. Quazi Asif Afzal Haseeb, Manager (Production) and Mr. A.T.M. Moslah Uddin, Manager (HR & Admin) made the presentation on behalf of the organization.  A Q & A session was included during presentation and students participated enthusiastically for clarification of different issues. The presentation session was followed by plant visit which helped students to acquire practical knowledge on the integrated value chain activities of a cement manufacturing plant.

Faculty members of AIUB extended their profound thanks to the officials and staff of M.I. Cement Factory Limited for their support & hospitality and AIUB management for providing the administrative support to organize this successful trip. At the end of the program Faculty members handed over gift hampers to Engr. Saiful Alam, Executive Director and other speakers as small token of appreciation.
