The AIUB-FASS-MMC recognized the winners of the Open House Poster Design Competition last 15^th of December, 2016 at the 13^th floor Media Studio of Building 7. The competition was part of the Open House event of the MMC Department held last 16^th of November.  It was intended to draw students from AIUB and other universities to express their feelings and creative take on the climate change issues affecting the world. 

Our Vice Chancellor Dr. Carmen Z. Lamagna, Dean of FASS Prof. Dr. Tazul Islam and Prof. Dr. AJM Alam Bhuiyan handed out the awards to the first prize winner, Imam Mahadi Hasan (Save the Tree, Save the Planet, Save Yourself) of Dhaka University, second prize winner, Sk. Sami Al-Jabar (Stop Deforestation, Plant Trees, Save the Earth) of AIUB and the third prize winner, Iftekhar Emon (Global Warming – Suicide Mission) also from AIUB. At the same time, certificates of appreciation were also given to the student volunteers who worked very hard in making the Open House event a very successful one.=

Dr. Lamagna gave a short inspirational speech to the students on the new Animation track of the MMC Department and the future plans for it in moving forward. The immense potential of the track gives a diverse opportunity for the students to learn the different media and techniques in animation with the goal of putting Bangladesh in the international circle of the animation industry.
