"NOBINBORON of FASS Freshmen"

The Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences (FASS) organized a splendid "Nobinboron" (Freshers' Welcome) on 30 September 2010 at the Campus-1auditorium. Much to the delight of the packed audience, the extravaganza witnessed songs, instrumentals, dances and comedy drama by the students of English, Mass Communication & Media Arts, Economics and Advertising departments. Dr. Charles C Villanueva, Acting Dean of FASS was the Chief Guest who not only gave an emphatic motivating speech but also enthralled everyone with his two magical songs. Dr. Faheem Hasan Shahed (Head, English Department), Dr. Mizanul Haque Kazal (Head, Economics Department), Mr. Niaz Mazumder (Faculty, Advertising Department), Dr. Matiur Rahman (Associate Dean, Faculty of Business Administration), Dr. Ehsanul Huda Chowdhury (Director, BBA Program), Dr. Silverine de Silva (Assistant Director, OSA), numerous Faculty Members and Executives of FASS, students from all disciplines attended this colorful event. Mr. Hamidul Haque, Ms. Sakiba Ferdousy, Ms. Soheli Akter, Mr. Debasish Biswas, Mr. Asif Kamal of the English Department and Dr. Mizanul Haque Kazal of the Economics Department were in charge managing the entire event successfully. A big "thank you" goes to Mr. Manzur H Khan, Director of OSA, for his all out assistance.
