Nestlé Roadshow for Launching of the “Blue Tie Challenge” Competition

On 10th October, 2011, a Roadshow was arranged by Nestlé Bangladesh Ltd. in the AIUB auditorium. The theme of the Roadshow was based on Nestlé’s promise of ‘Good Food Good Life’. AIUB also contributed to this promise by organizing a Poster Competition arranged by the Office of Placement & Alumni (OPA) in association with AIUB Business Club (ABC). Fifteen posters were presented and were judged by the Nestlé team. The Winner of the Poster Competition was Parisa Mehnaz, a student of Faculty of Business Administration, major in Human Resource Management. Dr. Charles C. Villanueva, Dean, Faculty of Business Administration and Mr. R. Tareque Moudud FCMA, Director, Office of Placement & Alumni, spoke on the theme and welcomed the Nestlé Team.  Mr. Masum Uddin Khan, Country Business Manager, Nestlé Professional, Ms. Ipshita Fahmin, People Engagement and Mr. Sumit Chakraborty, HR Learning took part in the Roadshow from Nestlé. Among others, Dr. AHM Ehsanul Huda Chowdhury, Director, BBA Program, Mr. Marvin Rozario, Lecturer, FBA, Mr. Stanley Sumon Rodrick, Lecturer, FBA, and Mr. Adnan Hossain, Lecturer, FBA, graced the event with their presence. Mr. Masum Uddin gave a corporate presentation focusing on their promise and explaining the several areas of their business. Another aim of the Roadshow was to launch the “Blue Tie Challenge” competition at AIUB. Ms. Ipshita Fahmin and Mr. Sumit Chakraborty explained about the competition to the students and encouraged them to participate. The “Blue Tie Challenge” is a business strategy analysis competition where ten universities will be participating with a team of four members representing each university on 31st October, 2011. This is an opportunity for talented students to prove capabilities and have preference in being recruited by Nestlé.
