The Department of Public Health under the faculty of Arts and Social Sciences of the American International University-Bangladesh organized an Orientation Program for the freshman students of the summer 2015-2016 batch. The program was chaired by the Honorable Pro-Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Charles Carillo Villanueva. Several other faculty members were also present in the program.

Initially the class monitors of the previous semester shared their thoughts and experiences in AIUB. The welcome note was then given by Prof. Dr. Charles Carillo Villanueva followed by an interactive session conducted by Dr. Md. Abdur Rahim, a faculty in the department of public health. Prof. Dr. Md. Nazrul Islam, then gave a motivational speech on the importance of public health. Prof. Dr. Ahmad Neaz, Advisor of MPH program , explained in brief the MPH curriculum of AIUB.

The orientation program was nicely coordinated by Dr. Md. Aurangzeb, a faculty of MPH program.
