The Department of Public Health of American International University- Bangladesh (AIUB) organized a seminar on “Bio-Ethics and Research” on 12th of February which was held in the AIUB Auditorium The program started with the welcome speech by Pro-Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Charles C. Villanueva.
Prof. Dr. Tazul Islam, Dean of FASS, introduced Prof. Dr. Darryl R. J. Macer. He is the founder president of American University of Sovereign Nations (AUSN), Scottsdale, Arizona, USA. He was also associated with UNESCO in Thailand for long time.
Prof. Macer discussed briefly the history, existing status and the future in this field. He also talked about the programs offered in AUSN. All the students were also present in the auditorium showing their interest in the seminar.
After the speech, Prof. Macer answered all the questions asked by the students and the faculty members present in the seminar. The students also enjoyed the discussion in the seminar.
Prof. Dr. Ahmad Neaz also gave speech regarding Public Health and Bio-Ethics. Finally Prof Dr. Tofazzal Hossain (Vice President, Academics) gave a concluding speech. A Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) between AIUB and AUSN paving the way for mutual exchange program for students, teachers and research was signed.
The Department of Public Health appreciates the openhanded support given by the AIUB Management in making the seminar a huge success.
