MPH Orientation Program Spring 2016-17

The Department of Public Health of AIUB organized an Orientation Program to welcome Fresher’s of MPH Program of Spring 2016-17. The Program was held on February 3, 2017 at the AIUB Auditorium (Campus 1). Prof. Dr. Tazul Islam, Dean, Faculty of Arts & Social Sciences, Prof. Dr. Ahmed Neaz, Advisor of MPH Program, Mr. Manzur H Khan, Director of Student Affairs, other respected faculties and the students were present in the event. Two former USAID intern fellows who worked in the MPH Program were also present. The Program started with brief Introduction of all respected faculties and students, followed by a documentary video on the screen. Mr. Manzur H Khan briefed the students about AIUB, its rules, regulations and future plans. Dr. Ahmed Neaz focused on impact of MPH degree provided by AIUB in international level & Dr. Sadiqur Rahman, Adjunct Faculty of the department gave a briefing on overall academic environment of the department. Dr. Tasdik, a former student, current adjunct faculty and the first Chancellor’s Award winner from the department shared his public health experience and contribution of AIUB in his life. Two freshmen Mr. Phurba Sange Moktan and Dr. Nusrat Ara Lizu and three former students Dr. Nusrat Khan, Dr. Farhana Safa and  Atia Sultana  also shared their expectations and experiences so far. The Freshers were warmly received with greetings by the seniors and faculties and welcomed to the MPH family of AIUB. The program ended with refreshments and a closing speech by Prof. Dr. Tazul Islam. The evening was full of enthusiasm and entertainment. All the students and faculties enjoyed the program a lot as it brought the students and faculties closer. The emcee of the program was Dr. Nuzhat Kabir. The MPH Department respectfully acknowledges the generous support from AIUB management to make this program a success.
